GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:

The Director of Product Marketing is responsible for the promotion of NextIO products in the worldwide marketplace. This includes development and maintenance of datasheets, application notes, white papers, and case studies around NextIO products, as well as working with the NextIO sales teams, channel, and OEM partners on market-specific collateral.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    Background should include at least 10 years of product marketing experience with datacenter products, preferably with storage area networks (SANs) and local area networks (LANs). Should also have a strong understanding of virtualized server and storage environments.

Position is located at NextIO’s headquarters in Austin, Texas.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:

NextIO is looking for a presales engineer to support opportunities in the Asia/Pacific region. Experience should include 10-15 years of experience in engineering and sales engineering in the IT industry, with at least five years of sales engineering experience in datacenter networking or storage area networking. Strong working knowledge of VMWare, Xen, HyperV, Linux, and/or Windows Server environments and concepts such as VLANs and VSANs is critical.

Applicants should be located in Hong Kong, Beijing, Seoul, or the Tokyo area, and should be able to travel to China, Korea, and Japan.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:

This position requires at least 5-7 years’ experience of system test development, execution and leadership with emphasis in I/O and embedded management environments. The right individual will have hands-on experience defining, creating and executing tests for core software management pieces for data center class systems with disparate I/O technologies. Additionally, candidates should have experience leading a system test organization, directing priorities based upon business goals, reporting to management test progress and hurdles, while also serving as a technical leader for the test team. You must have a strong working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems with experience configuring and testing networking and storage adapters. Additional consideration would be given to those candidates who also possess professional experience in leading, developing and/or testing interoperability with VMWare or other hypervisors.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience leading system test organization qualifying datacenter equipment with x86 servers and operating systems.
  • Ability to create SW and System Test Plans for a Datacenter System which validate and stresses product capabilities.
  • Familiar with automating tests via shell scripting or other programmatic means
  • Understanding of structured and ad-hoc testing in a data center environment with excellent tracking methodologies.
  • Strong working knowledge of at least one of the following I/O technologies (Networking, Fibre Channel, SAS)

Additional consideration will be given to those individuals with the additional experience with hypervisor interoperability testing, and/or PCI Express protocol understanding.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:

As the Systems Architect at NextIO, you will be responsible for the top level architecture for all products and technology developed and sold by NextIO. This includes silicon, software and system-level products. In this role, you will work with the Marketing, Silicon, System and Software teams to create a cohesive architecture and technical strategy to meet the needs of the market based on product marketing data, industry trends and customer feedback. The ideal candidate has a strong background in data center I/O and I/O architecture along with system, silicon and software designs with deep development experience in two or more of the disciplines related to data center I/O.

FOCUS AREAS:

  • Create and maintain system architecture specs for all NextIO products
  • Evangelize and drive product and technology architecture throughout the company
  • Work closely with Product Marketing and engineering to transform market requirements into technical requirements and build the architecture design to support them over time
  • Represent NextIO in standards bodies
  • Actively participate in partner and customer engagements, understanding customer requirements and pain points for I/O management
  • Identify industry trends for I/O Virtualization and I/O management and communicate to engineering teams
  • Study competitive products and present competitive analysis of technical advantages and short falls to engineering and management teams
  • Generate and present design concepts to customers and partners for proposed system solutions

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong presentation skills for industry tradeshow, customer and partner presentations
  • In-depth knowledge of Data Center Management of Servers or Server I/O
  • Strong working knowledge of PCI Express within Server Designs
  • Working knowledge of I/O Virtualization with emphasis on the PCI-SIG's SR-IOV and MR-IOV specifications
  • Direct experience designing datacenter I/O device components either at the silicon, hardware or driver layer
  • Track record of successfully leading Designers and Architects to build successful products
  • Experience in defining system-level product requirements and architectures, inclusive of silicon, hardware and software content
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Startup experience desired

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred
  • 15 years of experience as a developer and/or architect in a product development organization with focus on data center I/O products and solutions
  • Has been the system architect including both hardware and software of a product that went to production in a datacenter environment

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

This position requires at least 5 years experience in server-based management software with emphasis on strong code development skills in an embedded environment.

The right individual will have code development of hardware data providers in a Linux environment as a core competency and will have responsibilities for the data object implementation for NextIO specific hardware within a server chassis environment. Additionally, this position requires experience with object-oriented design, basic UI design and implementation with a constrained memory footprint.

This SW Engineer will work closely with other senior SW developers and will be expected to participate in many disciplines of the code stack with short learning curves. Working within the team, they must ensure all critical components of the product are tightly managed and adhere to industry standards for server peripheral management.
