All of NextIO's executives have substantial industry experience including both previous startup experience and large company experience. Our executives' collective experience spans semiconductor design and manufacturing, multiple I/O technologies and large computer OEM's.
K.C. Murphy - President and CEO, co-founderK.C. is a semiconductor veteran with more than 25 years of experience, including a previous semiconductor startup and time spent with some of the industry's best known companies: AMD, Cadence and Broadcom. Prior to NextIO, K.C. was an Executive Officer of Broadcom and the VP/GM of Broadcom's RF and Advanced Mixed Signal Group. K.C. joined Broadcom through Broadcom's acquisition of Pivotal Technologies, a successful semiconductor startup company in Pasadena, CA, where he was President and CEO. Before Pivotal, K.C. was Executive Vice President, Strategic Business Group and Corporate Strategy, at Cadence Design Systems. K.C. joined Cadence after many years at AMD where his last position was Vice President, Corporate Strategy and PC Systems.
Chris Pettey - CTO, co-founderChris has more than 15 years of experience delivering high-performance I/O silicon for PC's and Servers. Prior to NextIO, Chris was co-founder, CTO and a member of the Board of Directors of Banderacom, a semiconductor startup focused on InfiniBand. Before co-founding Banderacom, Chris was a chip architect and designer for Jato Technologies, a startup semiconductor company that delivered Gigabit Ethernet. Chris joined Jato after several years at Compaq (now part of HP) where he worked in several engineering capacities developing silicon and standards for server I/O. Chris began his career with NCR.
Rich Warwick - Vice President of Engineering and OperationsRich has more than 20 years of engineering experience, including executive positions with companies in both the silicon and software markets. He has spent time working at Vignette, Cirrus Logic, Crystal and IBM, as well as previous startup experience. Most recently, Rich was VP of Engineering and Operations at NovusEdge Inc. Before NovusEdge, Rich was a co-founder of D2Audio Corp. and the VP of Engineering. Prior to D2Audio, Rich was VP and GM of the Commerce Apps division of Vignette Corp. Prior to Vignette, he held various positions at Cirrus Logic, Crystal Semiconductor and IBM, with roots as an IC designer & SW engineer.
Jack LeWinter - Vice President SalesJack LeWinter brings over 20 years of successful industry experience in international sales, OEM sales, direct sales and channel sales. Prior to joining NextIO, Jack was the Vice President of Sales for CipherMax, a leading storage encryption company. Prior to CipherMax, he was the Vice President of Sales for InMage Systems Corporation, an industry leader in business continuity software. Through his 20 + year tenure in various senior sales management and management positions at AMCC, QLogic, Sony, Xerox and Storage Tek, Jack has gathered vast product and industry knowledge in storage, communication silicon and software for the transport, switching, routing, SAN infrastructure and software. |
